Our Facilities and Accommodations
Prices are updated regularly, but subject to change. Please contact us to arrange your
payment options coming soon!

Lodging: La MICA Biological Station currently offers tent-camping (4-person tent available
for rent) and lodging in a comfortable, traditional cabin (sleeps 4 people) or in our
dormitory (sleeps ~22 people).

Dining: Enjoy traditional and international meals prepared by local people. Vegetarian and
boxed meal/bag lunch options are available upon request. Please
contact us with details
of your dietary requirements and we will do our best to make all necessary
accommodations.

Guiding services & Field Assistants: Local guides are ready to assist with research or
provide tours of the amazing natural areas located near La MICA Biological Station.

Transportation: La MICA offers private transportation to and from Tocumen International
Airport (PTY), Panama City, and cities within Coclé province. We also offer private
transportation to many of the local communities and attractions. El Copé can be reached
via public buses (direct bus from Panama City
Albrook Bus Terminal, Penonomé (Coclé)
and Aguadulce (Coclé), but accommodation of extra baggage or delicate equipment may
be less than adequate or cost extra.
Notes for coming to Panama and La MICA Biological Station

Visitors are advised to check requirements for travel to Panama for their specific country of origin. Panama
has one international airport called Tocumen International Airport (code PTY) located in Panama City. Be
sure to NOT book to Panama City, Florida!

La MICA Biological Station is located in the mountains and temperatures can be chilly when raining or in the
evening/night. This is also a humid area located in a cloud forest (high humidity even in the dry season of
